New Year Greetings

2017

Translated Wednesday 28 December 2016, by Henry Crapo, Hervé Fuyet, Peggy Cantave Fuyet

Dear readers
Dear friends
Dear translators
Dear editors
Dear webmaster

The two paintings by Picasso ("Guernica" above and "La Colombe de la Paix" at the bottom of the message) represent the tragedies of war and the hope for peace. Those two paintings are extremely relevant to the historical period in which we live today. In this respect, our work is very important in moving toward a better understanding of the world and in pursuing a world of peace.

We would like to thank all of you for your past or present participation, your help, encouragements, and suggestions of improvement, concerning our project. Thank you for contributing to make l’Humanité in English become what it is today.

We hope our volunteer translators’ New Year resolution will include the objective of translating more articles. We hope that our reader’s New Year resolution will include the objective of reading and diffusing more of our translated articles.

May the year 2017 be a better year for l’Humanité in English and for the world!
